Lesson: 7 - Different types of generating digital images, Image Pixelation Activity.

Purpose:Students take images of themselves using a camera, convert documents & photos and learn about pixels.

1 - (Time : 1:30 minutes, 10 laptops/desktops, Students strength : 15 to 20).

Materials Required

Laptop, Mobile, webcam, digital camera images and Activity website.

Curriculum Content 2.1)   Digitisation,

Prior knowledge

Students should know to click pictures using the camera in the laptop and know the binary concept.

1. Students capture their own image with a laptop camera and find out the file    size and its format. And also learn to convert documents, photos into a    digital format.

Teacher's Instruction
  1. Students should know how to convert images into different file formats like jpg to png or mp3 to wav or mp4 to wmv.
  2. Ask them when the image has fewer pixel values then what will be the quality of an image.
  3. Ask them when an image has a clear appearance, then the pixel values will be high or low.
  4. Teachers should guide the students to learn the binary concept.
